Refund & cancellation.

Effective · April 18, 2026·Last updated · May 6, 2026

Clanry sells digital goods only — subscriptions, content access, downloads, drops, custom requests, and creator services. Payments settle in USDC on-chain or via fiat-to-crypto and card rails that route into USDC at the creator's wallet. Read this policy before you buy.

01Digital, instant-delivery goods

Most items on Clanry deliver instantly: access to a community, a download link, a subscription tier unlock, a credit balance. Once delivered, those goods are generally non-refundable, except where this policy or applicable consumer-protection law says otherwise.

By completing checkout you acknowledge the digital nature of the goods and consent to immediate delivery. Where required by law (e.g. EU/UK distance-selling rules), the right of withdrawal expires once delivery has begun and you have given that consent.

02When refunds apply

Even with digital goods, refunds are appropriate in specific cases. Each is handled by the creator first — the creator owns the storefront and owns the refund decision — with platform escalation if needed.

  • Item not delivered. You paid and the access, download, or content never appeared. Full refund after creator review.
  • Item materially not as described. The product page promised a thing, you got something materially different. Full or partial refund at creator discretion.
  • Duplicate or accidental purchase. Refundable if you have not yet consumed the digital good (e.g. download not redeemed, subscription not used).
  • Technical failure on Clanry's side. Platform-level bug prevented delivery, charged twice, or returned a corrupt file. Platform issues a credit or coordinates with the creator on a refund.
  • Trial-period subscriptions. If the creator's storefront offers an explicit trial or money-back window, that window is honored. Cancellation rules on each subscription are shown at checkout.

03When refunds do not apply

Outside the situations above, refunds are not standard. In particular:

  • Buyer's remorse on consumed digital content (downloaded files, unlocked content, viewed videos, used credits).
  • Already-redeemed codes, downloads, or perk drops.
  • Subscription periods already used. Cancellation stops the next billing cycle; the current period stays active until its end date.
  • Custom commission deliverables that match the agreed brief. Disputes over creative direction are handled creator-to-buyer.
  • Chargebacks initiated without first contacting the creator. See section 06.

04Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel any subscription you hold on Clanry at any time:

  1. Open your Subscriptions tab in your buyer dashboard.
  2. Find the subscription you want to cancel.
  3. Hit Cancel renewal.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until then. Clanry does not pro-rate or partial-refund unused time on already-billed subscription periods, except where required by law.

05How to request a refund

Step-by-step
  1. Contact the creator first. Open your purchase, hit Contact creator, describe the issue. Most refund requests are resolved at this step within 48 hours.
  2. Escalate to Clanry. If the creator does not respond within 5 business days or you cannot reach agreement, email [email protected] with the order ID, the creator's handle, and what went wrong.
  3. Platform review. Clanry reviews within 5–10 business days and issues a determination. Where a refund is owed and the creator declines, the platform may issue store credit or coordinate a chain refund where technically possible.

06How refunds are paid out

Clanry uses non-custodial USDC. Funds go directly from the buyer's payment rail to the creator's wallet at checkout. Clanry never holds creator funds, so refunds do not flow through a platform float.

  • USDC on-chain purchases. Creator initiates a USDC transfer back to the buyer's wallet. Network gas fees are excluded from the refund unless the issue was the platform's fault.
  • Fiat-to-crypto and card-rail purchases. Refund routes back through the originating processor. The processor's timing applies — typically 5–10 business days for card refunds to appear on the buyer's statement.
  • Currency conversion. Where the buyer paid in fiat and the creator received USDC, refunds are calculated in USDC. Returned fiat may differ from the paid amount due to FX movement. Refund amount is finalized at the time of refund, not the time of purchase.

07Chargebacks

Initiating a card chargeback or wallet-level dispute without first contacting the creator and the platform is a violation of the Terms of Service. Clanry actively contests fraudulent or premature chargebacks and shares evidence (chat logs, delivery receipts, IP/device records) with the processor.

Repeated chargeback abuse may result in account termination and a permanent ban from re-registering on Clanry.

08Statutory consumer rights

Nothing in this policy overrides applicable mandatory consumer-protection law. If you purchase from a jurisdiction that grants you statutory refund or withdrawal rights beyond what this policy describes, those rights apply. Contact [email protected] and identify the statute or regulation you are relying on, and we will process within the timeframe required by that law.
