DMCA Policy.
We respect copyright. If your work shows up on Clanry without authorization, here's how to get it removed. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
01Filing a takedown notice
Send a written notice to our DMCA agent at [email protected] with the subject line DMCA Takedown Notice.
Your notice must include:
- What work is being infringed. Describe the copyrighted work. If multiple works are affected, a representative list is fine.
- Where the infringing material is. URL(s), storefront handle, or enough detail that we can find the material on the Platform.
- Your contact information.
- Full legal name
- Mailing address
- Phone number
- Good-faith statement: “I have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.”
- Accuracy statement under penalty of perjury: “I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notice is accurate, and that I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.”
- Your signature (physical or electronic).
We review and respond to valid notices within 5–10 business days.
02Counter-notification
If your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notification to [email protected] with the subject DMCA Counter-Notification.
Your counter-notice must include:
- What material was removed and where it previously appeared on the Platform.
- Statement under penalty of perjury: “I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.”
- Consent to jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court where your address is located (or federal courts in the State of Delaware if your address is outside the United States), and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant or their agent.
- Your contact information (full legal name, mailing address, phone, email).
- Your signature (physical or electronic).
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we forward it to the original complainant. If they don't file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed content.
03Three-strike repeat infringer policy
- First strike. Content removed. Written warning explaining the violation and consequences of further infringement.
- Second strike. Content removed. Final warning. Some account privileges (such as uploading new content) may be paused for a defined period.
- Third strike. Account permanently terminated. Permanent ban from creating new accounts.
We reserve the right to skip the three-strike procedure and terminate immediately for large-scale, willful, or clearly pirated infringement.
Strikes may be reset after 12 months of clean activity, at our discretion.
04Misrepresentation
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys' fees. Think carefully before filing.
