01Identity verification (KYC)
Creators receiving payouts on Clanry are verified before money flows. Verification is handled through accredited third-party providers and includes, at minimum:
- Government-issued photo ID
- Liveness check (selfie matched against ID)
- Proof of address where applicable
- Tax-form collection where required by jurisdiction
Buyers do not require KYC for standard purchases. High-value or high-risk transactions may trigger additional verification at the processor level.
02Anti-money-laundering (AML) & sanctions
Clanry operates under an AML program that includes:
- Sanctions screening. Creators and buyers are screened against OFAC, UN, EU, and UK consolidated sanctions lists at onboarding and on an ongoing basis.
- Geographic restrictions. Users from comprehensively sanctioned jurisdictions are not permitted on the platform.
- Transaction monitoring. Automated monitoring for structuring, unusual velocity, and other red flags. Suspicious activity is escalated to the relevant processor and, where required, to law-enforcement authorities.
- Travel-rule compliance. Where the rails Clanry uses require originator/beneficiary information for crypto transfers above the relevant threshold, that information is exchanged in line with FATF guidance.
03Age verification & content tiers
Clanry runs a two-tier content architecture: SFW and NSFW-gated.
- SFW tier. Default tier. No age gate beyond the platform's general 18+ requirement.
- NSFW-gated tier. Adult content. Access requires verified age (18+ or local age of majority, whichever is higher) and explicit opt-in. Verification is handled by an accredited third-party age-verification provider.
- Creator obligations. Creators publishing to the NSFW tier comply with all applicable record-keeping requirements (e.g. 18 U.S.C. § 2257 for U.S. creators) and confirm consent and lawful age of every depicted person.
- AI-generated content. Permitted within Clanry's content policies. Generated likenesses must not impersonate real people without consent and must not depict minors under any circumstance — including stylized, anime, or otherwise non-photorealistic depictions.
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, and content depicting real-world violence against identifiable persons are prohibited. Such content is removed on detection, the responsible account is permanently terminated, and reports are filed with NCMEC and other relevant authorities.
04Data protection (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
Personal data is processed under the lawful bases set out in the Privacy Policy.
- Right of access, rectification, erasure, portability, restriction, and objection. Available to all users in jurisdictions that grant them. Submit requests via [email protected].
- Do Not Sell or Share. Clanry does not sell personal information. CCPA "Do Not Sell or Share" requests are honored where in scope.
- Cross-border transfers. Where data leaves the EEA/UK, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or other approved mechanisms.
- Breach notification. Material personal-data breaches are reported to supervisory authorities within statutory timeframes (e.g. 72 hours under GDPR) and to affected users where required.
05Intellectual property & takedowns
Clanry honors valid copyright takedown requests under the DMCA and equivalent foreign frameworks. The full procedure, the three-strike repeat-infringer policy, and counter-notification process live on the DMCA Policy page.
Trademark concerns and other IP issues that fall outside the DMCA framework should be sent to [email protected] with documentation of the right being asserted.
06Custodial posture & financial structure
Clanry operates a non-custodial model for creator funds. Money flows from the buyer's payment rail (USDC on-chain, fiat-to-crypto, or card on AI-tolerant processors) directly to the creator's wallet at checkout. Clanry does not hold creator balances and does not act as a money transmitter for those flows.
Where third-party processors are involved on the buyer side (fiat-to-crypto rails or card rails), those processors operate under their own licensing and compliance regimes. Clanry uses only processors with policies that explicitly accommodate AI-generated content and the platform's content tiers.
07Content moderation & enforcement
- Acceptable Use. Defined in the Terms of Service. Violations are reviewed against published rules — no silent retroactive bans.
- Trust & Safety review. Reports are triaged within 1 business day. Material removals notify the affected creator with the rule violated and the evidence relied on.
- Appeals. Every enforcement action carries a written appeal channel. Appeals receive a human review within 5 business days.
